Simon Starling (born ) lives and works in Berlin and Glasgow. He lives and works in Berlin and Glasgow. He is fascinated by the processes involved in transforming one object or substance into another. He makes objects, installations, and pilgrimage-like journeys which draw out an array of ideas  about nature, technology and economics. Starling describes his work as ‘the physical manifestation of a thought process’, revealing hidden histories and relationships. He was the winner of the .



Simon Starling (né en 1967) vit et rvaille à Berlin et Glasgow. Il est fasciné par les processus à l'oeuvre dans la transformation d'une substance ou d'un objet à un autre. Il réalise des objets, de installations, et se livre à des "pèlerinages" qui brassent les idées de nature, de technologie et d'économie. Starling décrit son travail "la manifestation physique d'un processus mental", dévoilant des histoires et des relations cachées. En 2005 il a été récompensé par le Turner Prize.
